How tokens work

  • Tokens meter the AI's work — building your video, generating images and voiceover, timing captions. Previewing, tweaking, and exporting are always free.
  • Different AI models use tokens at different rates: premium models produce the best results, economical models stretch your allocation further. Switch anytime, right in the editor.
  • Typical costs: a full reel from your own media ≈ 10–15K tokens · an AI image ≈ 10K · a voiceover ≈ 2K · captions ≈ 1K per minute of audio · AI video clips (paid plans) ≈ 50K+ per 8 seconds.
  • One balance, two products — your tokens work in Code350 Studio and the AI Code Editor alike.

Questions

Do I need separate subscriptions for Studio and the AI Code Editor?

No. One Code350 subscription grants access to both products. Subscribe once and your plan applies everywhere.

What counts as a token?

Tokens are consumed by AI work — chat, building your composition, and media generation. You're billed by what the AI actually computes (repeated context is cached and credited), and different models use tokens at different rates. Rendering and exporting never consume tokens.

Why do models use tokens at different rates?

Each model has different underlying compute costs. Premium models like Claude Sonnet 5 deliver the best results and use more of your allocation per task; economical models like Gemini 3 Flash stretch it much further. You can switch models per message in the editor.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from the billing portal and your subscription stays active until the end of the current period.

What happens if I run out of tokens?

AI features pause until your next monthly reset, or you can top up with a token pack. Video editing, preview, and export continue to work without tokens.
